Families and Carers

Group Sessions:

Here, I look at ways I can support the family as a whole where one member has been diagnosed with an illness for which there is no cure.  I look at ways in which we can emotionally nurture the person who is unwell, along with helping to ensure their wishes are fulfilled. This can be a very important part in supporting someone as they enter their last months and weeks of life.

It is also important to acknowledge the feelings and emotions of families and carers who are also experiencing loss and changes within their own lives.

Individual Sessions:

One-to-one sessions can support individuals with their own emotional needs, whether they be patient or carer.

Both patients and carers may feel tired, worried, frightened, angry and with help and guidance at such a difficult time, can begin to feel differently about the future.

If you are unsure as to which approach would be best for you, please get in touch to discuss.
